For Formally Employed Individuals
Identification: Your original South African ID book or Smart ID card.
Proof of Income: Your latest payslip (please provide your 3 most recent payslips).
Bank Statements:Your latest 3 months' bank statements showing your salary being paid in electronically.
For Self-Employed Entrepreneurs
Identification:Your original South African ID book or Smart ID card.
Financial Records: 6 months of recent personal and business bank statements.
Income Verification: A letter of drawings from your accountant or your latest 2 years of Annual Financial Statements (AFS).
To apply for a loan at either institution, you generally need to meet these basic criteria:
Citizenship: You must be a South African citizen.
Age: You must be 18 years or older (and typically under 65).
Identification: A valid South African ID book or card is required.
Income Status: * Full-time Employees: Must earn a regular income paid directly into a bank account.
**Pensioners: SASSA pensioners are eligible to apply (recent bank statement showing pension payment is required).

Financial Health: You must not be under administration, sequestration, or debt review.
How the Funding Works
To make your life easier and ensure your project stays on track, the funding is designed to be "hassle-free".
Direct Hardware Payment: Most of your loan is paid directly to your chosen hardware store so you can start shopping for your Nutec, pre-cast walling, or tiles immediately.
Cash for Labour: You can choose to take up to 30% of your approved loan in cash to pay for your transport costs and the builders working on your project.
